Stripe Connect for payments
Your clinic is the merchant of record. Payments are direct charges into your own connected Stripe account, with full access to the Stripe Dashboard, refunds, disputes and payouts. Card collection is gated on that connected account genuinely being ready to charge, so a configuration problem surfaces in settings rather than in front of a client holding a card.
